Produced by the Emanuel County Historic Preservation Society, Pine Bark Stew was part of the celebration of Emanuel County’s Bicentennial. The play was performed on November 2 and 3, in the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Auditorium.
Written by Steve Lavender with contributions from George Elder and Lauren Leasure, “Pine Bark Stew” gave audience members a fun and entertaining theatrical journey into Emanuel County’s heritage from the past two hundred years through drama, comedy, and tales of our heritage. Live music was provided by Hard Labor Creek, Steve Lavender, and Sam’s Drive-In Band.
