Museum Fall Open House!

ECHPS is proud to announce that we will once again have our annual fall open house from 10 AM to 4 PM on October 17, 2020.

Due to the efforts of volunteers who share information or give demonstrations, visitors are offered an exceptional opportunity to experience our area’s rich local history and cultural life at our Farm and Home Museum.

Please stop by and see all the changes and improvements we’ve made in the last year or so. Admission is free!

ECHPS Annual Meeting Program Postponed to April 22, 2021

Jason Wetzel, co-author of the book, Georgia POW Camps in World War II, will be our speaker at the April 22, 2021 (postponed from July 23, 2020) meeting, at 7 PM at the Varner 4-H Center. 

This is a covered dish supper meeting. You do not have to be a member to attend, but please bring a dish to share.

Following the meal and a very brief business meeting, we will hear from Jason Wetzel.

World War II is a moment in history that is still in our memories. Please plan to attend this interesting meeting.

January 2020 Supper Meeting

Please join us for our quarterly covered dish supper meeting at 7 pm on January 23, 2020. ECHPS will provide meat and tea for the meal. We ask that our members please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Visitors are welcome!

Following the meal and a brief business meeting, we will enjoy listening to Shirley Proctor Twiss, the author of four books.  Mrs. Twiss lives in Greenville, SC, but she is originally from Swainsboro, and she plans to talk about growing up in Swainsboro before World War II .
