Welcome to ECHPS

Longview Farm, the History Center of the Emanuel County Historic Preservation Society, (ECHPS) is located in Swainsboro, Georgia, on 15 acres leased from the County of Emanuel. It contains a collection of old buildings that have been relocated from their original sites within the County. Our goal is to consolidate a group of structures, in a museum format, that will demonstrate various segments of early life and local history.

The Farm and Home Museum is located within the History Center. It contains material, tools, and equipment dating from the time Emanuel County was first settled up to late 1900’s.

The Society opens the History Center and Museum to the public by request (except during December and on holidays.) We also provide guided tours to school and community groups upon request.
Please call George and Missy Elder at (478) 763-3631 to schedule a tour. Admission is free.
